Metalogic

The thing that knows how not to give you what you want.
an entity that will twist your wish against you because, a long time ago, it itself wished that every wish made to it would have a loophole. and it is capable of divining true intention, so no attempts to trick it as to what you truly want. determining an exploit that works against such an entity regardless is a fairly standard exercise in applied thaumolinguistics.
typical vectors involve:
- temporary desire-negation hypervisors
- Gödelian escape to higher logic to force the entity into a self-simulation paradox
one may also trick another into wishing for not-X, which avoids metamodal magic altogether, but this requires them to be unaware of the entity's nature, or they may figure out your true intentions and the exploit will fail.
